In the world of business, there are many players. The idea that people use this terminology (along with game) often reminds me of nails on a chalkboard..
In the game, every player wants to be player 1 - we can call this main character derangement syndrome. When you have this syndrome, you remind me of a horse.
One reason ‘brokering’ has less appeal than ever is due to the fact that you’re being jockeyed by third parties who generate your ROI (commission). This business is great for those that are looking to fine tune their craft and learn more about the business. That can be related to Commercial Real Estate, Business Sales, and Finance in general. These ‘Arenas’ tend to have the highest concentration of ‘brokers’ - a game of leverage, which is why it’s crucial to address a simple fallacy within the mind of the broke.
Incompetence
Often times, these individuals tend to have a larger than life ego. That’s fine, it’s getting cash in their bank. How can they care what I have to say?
Probably they will since the tag line here is their incompetence.
When you lack people skills or general goodness within, we have a tendency to fluff our feathers and try to look impressive on the out.
The challenge with this dynamic, at least in the name of any brokering, is that you must fulfill the aim of the client and do so in a way that every party wins…
When you don’t focus on everyone winning and instead, are stuck on winning yourself; You can impact your cells more than you know.
When times are hard, the hard get weird.
When the soft are aware times are hard, they don’t get anymore stiff. They simply step into other gifts and either marry in with contentment temporarily or approach the same objective no differently than they always have.
I could sit here and spit a fat loogie on my old boss if I wanted to, and without wasting too much saliva - dude’s weird as shit. Should’ve seen our last engagement 😆🤤 basically ended with me telling him to fuck off. “Forget I reached out - wishing you the best” and responded within 5 min versus ignoring my text pleading for guidance.
I don’t need any fucking help - If I’m completely honest. I can figure it out and will. The reality that so many people are seeking to leverage others or only look out for themselves is why I’m writing this blog to begin with.
Greedy fucks are simply greedy fucks. If you drool over cash then you can lick my ass. The C.R.E.A.M. rules everything around me. It doesn’t rule everything within me 😆
Cash is so dummy that if you’re married to the digits, you’re about as smart as money.
Survival got me buggin, but I’m alive on arrival - I peep at the shape of the streets and stay awake to the ways of the world.
Don’t be a mink. If you run into a lion like me, then all your energy will be drained. That’s what the dummies don’t get when they lack the ability to refrain from their greed. They miss the point of relationship building - which is why we discuss the solutions for the wounded…
Overcoming Greed to Achieve Abundance
The fastest way to seem like a slime is chase after every dime. It’s that cut dry.
If you’re in need of every dime at this time then this is for you.
To be a Ji and high step over greed, no matter your present need . . Follow through.
We often miss that we can offer value without being a dick. Most idiots do at least.
If we give out free candy every halloween and end up with none, are we unhappy?
Everyone who came to our door left with a smile and they’ll surely come back next year, as long as we leave the porch lights on and remain at the same home…
This is how we overcome greed. We give things away and expect nothing. Why?
Because it is counter intuitive. The intuition wants to believe that we’re giving away too much or that we’re causing our finances a heart ache by our behavior of giving…
If you’re holding onto a return on everything you own then you should probably continue to hoard and forget goodwill is an option.
If your shit is awesome - then why not give it away? The law of Reciprocity (a topic for another day) rewards you for how you behave. It also takes notice of how you engage with others. Don’t sleep on the rewards that are not immediately received..
When we build reputation capital, the ROI is much greater. It’s the asset that has no leverage - the one with excessive downside risk however. It is a daily sliding scale.
To wrap up this willy, we’ll end with this:
Abundance is a gift we create through our ability to remain detached from all things material. Abundance is the smile you give and the free information you share. It’s the thing that when you look in the mirror, you can smile without force about. It’s the parts of you that you scatter in the wind that never come back again that bring the most personal satisfaction.
This is counter intuitive to business - I know - what I’m saying is, diversify your relationships and don’t make everything about greed. Know when you should provide a service that will yield a reward and know when not to, because you’d much rather be friends with some people than leave their taste bitter with how you engage with them time & time again.
