Is my favorite term lately. It’s a poke at the bear of regurgitation and the access we all have to information, the more I browse that phrase, the more I can’t tell if I fall within it’s parameters and am actually a dumbass or the more it validates that most people are dumbasses. It’s easy in the twitter world, at least the view I have from the stratosphere of pseudonyms, that many people post what they saw within the last 24 hrs, often within the last 24 minutes. I’m guilty of this on some occasion, but only with the things I’ve internalized and thought for myself about.
I think this is where the barrier is broken for those who struggle with attaching themselves to false external narratives. Logically speaking, we humans are all gifted the same traits. I made a comment in the DM to a friend that ‘no matter what I do, I am under the impression I can do it if someone else can, excluding giving birth’
But is that true? If I had that ability than I would’ve chosen to be Nick Huber and promote sweatystartups with a highly successful father who’s available to wipe my sweat. That’s no dig at those type of people, I am friends with many humble family money type of people. They don’t receive help from their parents, they simply grew up knowing that that safety net exists. For those that it doesn’t, even small risk, like buying a single family home with a $30k downpayment to fix and flip for a $60k profit is high risk. To get to that $30k took almost everything in the tank, especially if you had to learn the hard way to practice gratitude.
You have to become a master and not be pseudo with your moves. You have to move in full authenticity with everything you do, otherwise you’ll never become that which is true within you.
I’m branching off topic but I’d rather this path than the life of sweet sweat. Nothing is sweet about the bitter ends you have to bite that can be tough to chew in the game of participating with gladiators who have a way bigger moat than you.
So the next time you feel like a pseudo intellect, remind your cells of all the work you’ve compounded through self education and forming your own way of approaching the world. Don’t judge people like Nick too heavy, it’s cool that people can go and be bigger than their dad, but for people like me who had no dad to be bigger than, it’s best you don’t move like me and keep your barrel unchambered when you put that strap in your waistband.
